80' long, 40' wide, 3'
draft.
This U.S. Department of
Defense experimental
stealth vessel is
constructed of
state-of-the-art
composite carbon-fiber,
with a foam core. The
pantented "Double-M"
hull design gives this
craft an aerodynamic
lift, minimal wake, and
a smooth ride in choppy
seas --- at sea trial
speeds up to 60 mph. She
is powered by 4
Caterpillar C32 engines
producing 6,608 HP, and
is driven by Arneson
surface piercing
drives. A 33' Rigid
Inflatable Boat (RIB) is
carried aboard and
enters/exits the
Stiletto via the opening
in the stern --- while
under way.
