Futuro House
|
Built in the early 70’s from a
plan by Finnish designer Matti
Suuronen, these approximately
600 square foot saucer shaped
homes were designed to
revolutionize the housing
industry. Less than 100 of
these homes were built, about
evenly divided between Finland
and the rest of the world.
After a life–long fascination
with these modules, the current
owner found this one in a canyon
in San Diego, bought it and
restored it in our boat yard. We
moved it to an Idyllwild, CA
mountaintop to become his
vacation home.

Vera Cruz
|
Built as a replica of a turn of
the century schooner, this
project was built on a dirt lot
just east of Carson City. Check
out the following pictures to
see why our original estimated
load and move schedule of 7-10
days actually took 3 weeks!

SWATH Boats

S.W.A.T.H. (Small
Water-plane-Area Twin Hull)
boats developed for stability
and speed in rough seas, are a
special challenge to move.

Masts
|
Modern, state of the art masts
are built of carbon fiber
because of its strength,
combined with relatively light
weight. Our one –of-a-kind mast
trailers haul all lengths,
including 112’ America’s Cup and
Maxi boat masts to 182’ mega
yacht sticks. The super-load
masts require a complete
pre-move dry run route survey to
find towns and streets with
intersections which will allow
turns.

Yachts
|
Due to the extremely high cost
of waterfront construction, many
big boats are built inland. That’s where we come in.
We move most of these behemoths
on a specially designed dolly
set-up. Jacking up the boats
and installing the equipment
under these heavy, expensive
creations requires years of
experience and know-how.
Most of these moves are done in
the middle of the night when
there is minimal traffic on the
road. Often electric, phone and
cable TV utility crews accompany
the moves to lift or cut and
reinstall overhead wires.
